Operations Manager Janitorial

We seek an Operations Manager to manage the cleaning portfolio and all employees. This position will report to the owner and will serve on the company’s leadership team.

Job Responsibilities

• Effectively and cost efficiently execute the cleaning plan for each of our buildings, including how the team will handle absenteeism.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, develop, discipline, and motivate your supervisory and production staff.
• Manage staffing levels, work schedules, cleaning plans, time & attendance records, and labor budgets.
• Manage and control company equipment, supplies and materials inventory.
• Regularly inspect buildings to ensure cleanliness, secure and safe operations. Take corrective action when appropriate.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through clear expectations and proactive communications.
• Respond very promptly to customer requests and concerns.
• Identify revenue growth opportunities and retain accounts with high-quality service and relationships.
• Fill-in clean and assist with deep cleaning projects when needed.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibilities and accomplishments.
• Experience leading and managing a full-time and part-time hourly work force.
• Willingness to work overtime and maintain flexible hours, including evening work.
• Janitorial industry experienced preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days and evenings.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work well with others at all levels.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Strong work ethic and do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
• Ability to think on feet, solve problems and make adjustments.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to teach, coach, motivate and develop people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school degree or GED required. Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
