- Work directly with customers to help determine needs of testing and maintenance.
- Assist customer with planning scheduled maintenance / testing work.
- Lead technicians in the field. Act as project foreman
- Provide testing and maintenance services to customer's electrical equipment.
- Read schematics and possessing the ability to troubleshoot using schematics is a plus.
- Be able to operate all aspects of test equipment (Megger, Ductor, Power Factor, TTR, AC / DC HIPot, etc.).
- Terminate and splice medium voltage (5-15kv) cables.
- Help maintain test equipment and make sure equipment is in working order.
- Strong logistical and organizational, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of electrical power distribution, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash hazards (NFPA70E) a plus
- Ability to read electrical drawings; knowledge to interpret and analyze schematics a must. AutoCAD experience a plus
- Knowledge of NETA acceptance and maintenance testing procedures.
- Ability to understand and perform personal lockout procedures.
- Technical degree or applicable years of experience, required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
