Railroad Track Maintenance Technician

PSC Group is seeking a Railroad Track Maintenance Technician to join our team! This is your opportunity to join a team to work together to maintain track infrastructure, including constructing, inspecting, and repairing tracks.

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 Hour Day Shift
Pay Range : starting pay of $18.50 with room for advancement
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Repairs and rebuilds railroad tracks, using power and non-power hand tools
- Pull spikes from ties, drills holes through rails for insertion and fastening of bolts, and replaces ballast
- Operates large non-powered hand tools such as shovels, picks, axes, cutters, and sledgehammers
- Operates proper electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic hand tools such as drills, impact wrenches, jacks, power saws, and grinders
- Lifts and carries track material
- Assists with re-railing of derailed railcars
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
Job Qualifications :
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
