Rockaway Beach Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our team.
We are a fun, family-focused practice that values compassionate care, professionalism, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist orthodontists with clinical procedures, including fitting braces, adjusting wires, and inserting and removing dental appliances.
Take and develop x-rays, photos, and impressions of patients' teeth as needed.
Prepare examination areas, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
Provide chairside assistance during patient appointments.
Educate patients about oral hygiene and care during orthodontic treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures and progress.
Provide chairside assistance during patient appointments.
Ensure a warm and friendly environment, especially for pediatric patients, to help alleviate any anxiety.
Qualifications :
Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant is preferred.
Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and patient care protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
