About the Job :
This position leads the service and parts training initiatives for Toyota Material Handling's dealer network. Leading a training team, this position will support, develop, and create processes, tools, and training to build and enhance external talent for Toyota Material Handling's (TMH) dealer network.
You will have the opportunity to work with leaders of the company and dealer network to establish training programs that increase the skills of dealer employees to ensure talent is prepared to fulfill current and future needs.
Specific objectives include promoting TMH's values, philosophy, products, and services through programs created for employees and using these programs to help motivate and engage employees so that they will expand their skills.
Program goals also include finding ways to improve retention. When these programs are successful, dealer employees should be more committed to Toyota's values and more invested in driving high levels of performance for their dealership.
What you'll be doing :
- Create training plans to support the dealer network employees' productivity and performance, driving value for the organization
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine training needs, knowledge gaps, and training plans in order to continuously improve our programs in alignment with organizational objectives and vision
- Develop assessments and measures to analyze and improve service and parts training
- Oversee training reports to monitor key performance indicators
- Manage the service and parts training budget and operational activities, including department budget allocation, contract agreements with partners and vendors, and invoice processing
- Develop and execute the department strategy in alignment with the organization's vision
- Evaluate team performance and the effectiveness of training programs
- Lead and coach direct reports to aid them in overall performance and professional development
- Research and implement benchmark training and performance solutions for training rewards, recognition, practices, and curricula;
seek innovative new methods for improving Toyota training implementation
- Communicate effectively and often with various stakeholders, including development partners, all levels of executive management, off-site trainers, Toyota field staff, LMS / data team members, and global stakeholders
- Manage new product launch department activities
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Additional duties as assigned
What we're looking for :
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical role
- Experience creating and delivering training / educational programs
- Demonstrates success in the design and deployment of wide-reaching training initiatives that have improved business performance
- Proven success in leading and developing a strong, cohesive team
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - a true relationship builder
- Demonstrates strong business acumen
- Proven ability to design and deliver training workshops at multiple levels
