ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is an aftermarket distributor of collision parts to the insurance industry. Popular products include bumpers, lights, hoods, mirrors, fenders, and grilles.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, general account analysis, and account reconciliations
- Manage and mentor accounting team staff
- Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger on a monthly basis
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded in compliance with GAAP
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements and assist with audits
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions at month end, ensure accuracy of financial statements and timeliness
- Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements for variance reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
- Develop and maintain documentation of current controls, processes, practices, and workflows
- Record daily cash activity as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must
- CPA preferred
- Must have 4+ years of work experience in a similar role
- Must be detail oriented and have a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting
- Must have solid knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Organizational and time management skills to meet time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Inventory management experience
