Registered Nurse : Observation unit.

Unit Overview : 5F,Observation unit. $30,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualifying candidates.

5F is an Observation Unit with 29 telemetry beds. We care for Observation / Short Stay populations from the Emergency Department, Cath Lab, and PACU.

Job Description :

The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as awhole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

Nursingpractices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies andprocedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines.

As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his / hertime (>

50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through : provisionof nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments;

facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities;provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning asapplicable, etc.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required :

Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.

Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college / university.

Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and musthave achieved the degree within 5 years.

Basic life support

ACLS / PALS / NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
