United Security Inc. is currently searching for a qualified, enthusiastic, hard-working, and driven Security Systems (CCTV / Access Control) Service / Install Technician that embodies our client's core values to join our company to service and support professional offices to multi-site enterprises.

• Provide security system installation and support services to Director of Technology to ensure the timely delivery of scope of work.
• Perform Service and Installation of Access Control, Alarm, CCTV & Intercom systems. Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs as necessary on security systems.

Perform upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality utilization.

• Perform computer program entry as required to add CCTV cameras, access control and intrusion alarm systems as needed.
• Prepare site documentation for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and / or conveying information.
• Program and Configure Head-end control panels and systems.
• Perform installation of cabling and device set up and wiring.
• Dress, terminate and test cables and components.
• Deliver effective commissioning of security systems to satisfy all quality requirements.

Additional Requirements :

• Experience in installing, programming, troubleshooting, and training in Electronic Security Systems, , Access Control, Alarm, CCTV, and Intercom systems.
• Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits an important role within a fast-growing division.
• TRAVEL REQUIRED : the candidate must be available to travel up to 20% to job sites in the Northeast Region of the US. Overnight stays may be required.
• Ability to work with power tools and ladders. Candidate must supply their own basic hand tools; USI will supply specialty tools and testing equipment as well as a van.
• Ability to work on lifts (scissor and manlifts)
• OSHA 10 Certified.
• Ability to complete tasks according to schedule and communicate with supervisors.
• Knowledge of building construction, ability to read / understand floor plans and riser drawings.
• Strong communication, customer service skills and neat personal appearance.
• High level of self-motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative.
• Strong team player who can communicate effectively and displays strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work effectively in high pressure situations.

Education Requirements

Associate's Degree / Trade School Training Certificate in Technology is preferred, or with relative experience in fire alarm systems.
