Position Summary

This is a Constructive Simulation Specialist Systems Engineer position at the Global Simulation Capability, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct overall management coordination for all technical, networking, simulation, exercise design, and administrative support.
  • Assist the Government in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of simulation systems and tools, and exercises and training events.
  • Provide strategic solutions for standardizing technology, technical documentation, and technical support models across the site(s).
  • Attend training, seminars, conferences, exercise / experiment planning events, site surveys, and training events.

Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or in an associated discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting like-sized teams and projects.
  • Strong experience in systems integration, including integrating hardware and software components to create cohesive systems.
  • Knowledge of DoD simulation technologies, particularly those relevant to Army military training and operations.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and scripting, often including languages like C++, Java, or Python.
  • Familiarity with network architecture and protocols, particularly those used in military or simulation environments.
  • Hands-on experience with military simulation systems, such as constructive or virtual simulation platforms.
  • Understanding of the specific requirements and constraints of military training simulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of simulation systems, including SW installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud services, and network security practices.
  • Information assurance certifications such as Sec+, GICSP, GSEC, etc. (equivalent to DoD IAT Certification Level II).
  • Possess an Active US SECRET Security Clearance.
