Our Assistant Teachers are critical to our classroom success at Harris Early Learning Center! In this role, you will have the important opportunity to help Teachers plan, create, and implement daily programs for preschool learning environments.
Depending on the needs of the Center, Assistant Teachers may move around to multiple classrooms to assist.

- Auburn University / Harris Early Learning Center Teachers are eligible to receive assistance to pursue Child Development Associate credential, Associate’s degrees, and Bachelor’s degrees through partnerships with community colleges or Auburn University’s online Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science, Early Child Development.

This is a one-year limited-term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funding. Essential Functions What You’ll Get to Do :
- Help Teachers plan and implement curriculum for a group of children consistent with developmentally appropriate early childhood education practice.
- Assist in the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children through safe and structured environments.
- Participate in modeling best classroom practices for college students who are observing as part of their degree program.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications What We Need From You :
High school diploma
Some positions may require progress towards a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
If selected you will be required to obtain a CPR / First Aid Certificate within 60 days of hire, and a TB Skin Test. Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications Minimum Skills and Abilities Minimum Technology Skills Minimum License and Certifications CPR / First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days of date of hire; TB Skin Test.
