Position Summary :
The Head of Sanitation and Maintenance is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance and sanitation programs and has direct oversight over : all equipment and facilities maintenance, equipment and facilities' projects, equipment and facility sanitation procedures, GMP's, overall organization and cleanliness, day-to-day operations and personnel.
Schedule : Monday Friday 6 : 00AM-2 : 30PM (ability to be flexible)
Key Job Duties :
- Mentor, provide leadership and cultivate a positive culture across the maintenance and sanitation groups.
- Fulfill personnel administrative duties such as hiring, scheduling, reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Manage the preventative maintenance, work order, pest control and facility environmental monitoring programs.
- Administer inventory for the maintenance and sanitation departments such as spare equipment and facility parts, janitorial supplies, breakroom supplies, etc.
- Consult with management to coordinate maintenance activities, sanitation activities as well as interpret and implement GMP regulations and other initiatives.
- Active participant and leader in the Redzone continuous improvement system.
- Ensure key performance indicators (KPI's), daily performance targets, reporting metrics, and variance thresholds are met or exceeded, and drive for accountability and solutions when they are not.
Responsible for providing accurate and timely reports and updates on KPI progress.
- Responsible for documentation associated with the maintenance and sanitation programs.
- Responsible for equipment maintained and utilized by both the maintenance and sanitation departments.
- Responsible for evaluation and review of new equipment in assistance to the plant manager.
- Responsible for new equipment verification, IQ / 0Q, and qualifications.
- Act as principal maintenance and sanitation contact during audits.
- Coordinate with management to interpret and implement GMP regulations, maintenance and sanitation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure that the equipment and facility environment is safe, clean and lean.
Investigate issues and implement corrective actions from audit findings (internal and external) and CAPAs.
- Coordinate with 3'd party contractors, service companies and suppliers as needed while maintaining a professional relationship.
- Author, revise, approve SOP's, charts and forms for the facility and equipment.
- Special projects as assigned.
Company Requirements :
- Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to work in a variety of conditions.
- Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
- Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Perform other projects / duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Education Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED
- Good math and computer skills
- Two or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Sanitation Certification or ability to obtain certification
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is a plus
