The candidate will serve as an assistant in both the Academic and Library departments, marketing trade books to these markets.
What you'll do :
The candidate will be a key member of the both Academic and Library teams with the ability to handle multiple marketing projects simultaneously : coordinate award mailings;
website maintenance; contribute to website posts / social media; and participate in title presentations, among other duties
- The candidate will interact with educators and librarians answer customer questions, listen to their concerns, and resolve any emerging concerns
- The position will include occasional business travel to 5-7 academic and library conferences per year
- The candidate will provide administrative support for both Academic and Library departments
What you'll bring :
- The candidate will have a passion for writing, editing, and research, as well as an understanding of the publishing industry
- The candidate will have exceptional language, grammar, and research skills, and be able to work both independently and in a team setting
- The candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite is required and a familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferred
Ideal Experience :
- 1-3 years publishing experience or equivalent education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
This role will have an annual salary of $47,500.
