Key Responsibilities for the Sr. Community Manager :

  • Leadership : Professionally manage and lead the community teams in daily operations, maintaining an engaging and motivating presence.
  • Scheduling : Establish maintenance and team schedules, holding each member accountable for performance and engagement.
  • Coaching : Effectively coach the team, fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome.
  • Financial Management : Manage budgets, accounts, rent collections, and tenant notices; utilize software to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Application Review : Review processed applications, background, and credit checks to ensure all procedures are followed.
  • Administrative Tasks : Conduct file audits to ensure compliance and handle tax filings.
  • Reporting : Report escalated issues to the Asset Director and prepare client reports with supporting documentation for regular meetings.
  • Communication : Communicate variances, concerns, and positive impacts in property operations, taking a solution-driven approach.
  • Policy Enforcement : Enforce company policies and procedures for compliance documentation regarding new leases and recertifications.
  • Customer Service : Greet residents, applicants, and others courteously and respectfully; promptly address and resolve questions, concerns, and complaints.
  • Community Inspection : Inspect community conditions and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulations and promote curb appeal.
  • Conflict Resolution : Investigate complaints and resolve conflicts.
  • Safety : Secure property, implement safety precautions, respond to emergencies, and complete required documentation.
  • Ethical Compliance : Ensure all work-related activities are conducted fairly, ethically, and consistently.
  • Additional Tasks : Perform any other tasks as assigned.

  • Professional Image : Present a positive and professional image, supporting a strong leadership orientation.
  • Customer Service : Excellent communication skills with experience in property management, hospitality (hotels, restaurants), retail service, etc.
  • Experience : 2+ years of multi-family leasing management experience required, with multiple years of leasing experience.
  • Education : High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Administrative Skills : Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellence in time management.
  • Scheduling : Superb scheduling and prioritizing skills to coordinate work with vendors and contractors for property projects.
  • Team Support : Ability to effectively and professionally support property team members in daily procedures and processes.
  • Technical Skills : Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel);

Property Management Software database experience preferred.

  • Requirements : Must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Screening : Background and credit check, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification required.
