Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Mid-Level Security & Vulnerability Engineer / Developer

Position type : Permanent.

Duration : 18 Months

Location : Remote

As a Mid-Level Security & Vulnerability Engineer / Developer, you will :

The primary role is to organize and coordinate vulnerability remediation with application and infrastructure teams across the enterprise.

As a VSPM (Vulnerability and Security Patch Management) Security Team member, you will be responsible for validating and remediating security issues identified and reported by Vulnerability Scan Systems.

Activities include analyzing and reporting using ServiceNow and proposing remediation solutions, and as appropriate applying software updates and fixes according to best practices and NIST Framework standards.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assessing and coordinating VSPM Team response to reported Windows vulnerabilities
• Validate vulnerability findings reported from scanning systems
• Apply Windows updates
• Apply Linux RHEL updates using automation tools (i.e. Ansible Tower)
• Review batch and bash scripts as needed
• Utilize Azure DevOps to deploy updates

Education Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business or related discipline Preferred.
• Microsoft certificate (MCSE or MCSA) Preferred
• Linux RHEL Certification Preferred.

Skills Required to perform the duty :

• ServiceNow and / or Rapid7 InsightVM reporting
• Excel analysis and tracking of reported vulnerabilities.
• Strong Communications and Organizational Skills within team and across the enterprise
• Be comfortable using, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering both Linux and Microsoft operating systems. Experience with Virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware
• Experience with Ansible (Tower) and its scripting.
• Technically strong on Windows OS Security, Policies, Standards and SDKs
• Follow Change Management processes and procedures.
• Comfortable with RHEL Linux administration and bash script debugging
• Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure and Certificates and experience in updating certificates
• PowerShell, and Python knowledge
• Linux / UNIX patch management
• Veritas Cluster Server Management (VSM) knowledge,

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :

Pay Range* : $ 81,000 - $ 95,000

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
