Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Multicultural Marketing Specialist will lead our efforts in developing and executing targeted marketing strategies to promote our multicultural content, products, and campaigns for the U.

S. multicultural market . This individual should understand marketing concepts and strategies to accelerate Deseret Book’s ability to engage with U.

S. multicultural audiences in a personal and connected way. This position will work collaboratively with the Content, Product, and Marketing te a ms, with an emphasis on Intercultural Strategy and Marketing Services.

Successful candidates will have an understanding of the needs and culture of members of T he Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have the ability to create and execute creative and strategic plans, collaborate well with others, and give and receive focused feedback.

They will leverage insights on our communities to develop strong relationships that will aid us in meeting the needs of multicultural communities in the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

Identify and develop audiences with a focus on addressing needs within the multicultural communit ies

Leverage research methods to understand multicultural communities and activating insights to inform marketing strategies and execution

Collaborate with creative and graphic design team to ensure marketing materials resonate with and reach our multicultural communities

Develop multicultural marketing strategies and plans that align overall campaign themes while effectively speaking to a multicultural communities

Establish and nurture relationships with diverse influencers nationwide to better engage our U.S. multicultural audiences

Utilize social media and other owned / shared platforms to promote our content

Monitor and analyze reports and data of multicultural specific campaigns and efforts

Work collaboratively with the Product and Marketing teams, and other specialists

Oversee s the calendar, flow, and custom er facing aspects of Deseret Book’s Cultural Celebrations in collaboration with the Multicultural Product & Experience S pecialists

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

Proficiency working with and understanding other cultures

Proficient understanding of doctrine / history of the church as well as local culture

Proficiency in developing and executing marketing campaigns and strategies

Degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field

Proficiency working with social media and other digital platforms

High level of organization and time management; able to deliver timely results

Able to manage multiple projects / deadlines / relationships at once

Clear and consistent communications skills (speaking, writing, listening)

Ability to manage and solve conflicts as they arise
