Chemical Distributor Sales Rep
Seeking a Sales Professional with Distributor experience in the chemical or CASE related industry to join a leading supplier in Pigments, Additives and Coatings for construction, personal care, food & beverage, among other areas.
This is a remote role with travel. The person selected will be the recipient of a well-established territory and be provided with an existing book of business.
While most of the travel will remain within the northeast / Tri-State area (day trips), intermittent travel every month or two is required to further locations in the territory along the eastern seaboard down to South Carolina.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Responsible for accounts and evaluating opportunities for new business growth
- Create and execute short, medium, and long-term customer growth strategies
- Effectively use and update CRM and other platforms to record customer and sales information
- Visiting current customers and prospective customers within the territory. Attend industry trade shows and marketing events throughout the year.
- Strong skills in conducting formal presentations and collaborating with individuals and teams at all levels.
Requirements :
- Must reside in either NY, NJ, CT, or PA
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the area of CASE products and ingredients
- Must have experience working directly for a Distributor. Strong Distributor and Supplier knowledge and experience within the chemical industry.
- Available to travel at least 50% within the territory from NE region down through the Carolinas.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
