Burnham RNG ( ) is a wastewater and agricultural waste-to-renewable natural gas (RNG) provider that helps communities profitably reduce treatment & disposal costs, improve environmental outcomes and re-use energy, water, and nutrients.

Burnham manages and reuses organic waste and wastewater by transforming it into RNG, clean water, and high-value soil additives that enhance sustainability and profitability.

The company builds / acquires, owns, and operates renewable natural gas (RNG) producing facilities with the mission to end emissions from waste and to live in a future where waste is a resource used to create low-carbon commodities and fuels.

Burnham is a turnkey solutions provider that can build, finance, and operate these facilities.

By marketing and selling RNG and capturing associated tax benefits, the company can significantly reduce the cost of waste treatment and disposal for communities while improving environmental outcomes.

We are seeking a Corporate Finance Manager, who will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function of the company.

This position requires strong analytical and modeling skills, as well as the ability to provide valuable insights to drive strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining project investment and financial models, managing the monthly financial planning and analysis model, and assisting in building an enterprise model to value the company and raise capital.

The Corporate Finance Manager will report directly to the VP of Finance. This position is based near Washington, D.C. and if needed, relocation support is available.

In this position, you will

Build and maintain project investment and financial models to support capital allocation decisions and evaluate the financial feasibility of potential projects or investments, M&A activity, including framing the analyses for use in presentations to management team, the board of directors and future investors.

Develop and own Burnham’s corporate financial model and investment presentations for use in board updates and corporate fundraising efforts.

Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders, conveying complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Lead due diligence activities on strategic transactions, such as acquisitions and joint ventures, including coordination with third-party diligence providers, and synthesizing results into presentations and reports for executive management.

Assist in overall business financial planning & analysis and cashflow management activities.

Maintain periodic reports highlighting market comparable, key industry activity, acquisition targets, key commodities, and macroeconomic indices.

In this position, we will need you to have .

  • Strong financial modelling experience building three statement corporate financial models, project models, and acquisition models;
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills; translating model outputs into executive-level deck including project-specific economic sensitivities;

dreams in charts and slides.

2+ years prior experience in investment banking, private equity, or other significant transactional finance experience; passion for synthesizing information, identifying issues, and proactively recommending solutions.

Experience in energy especially renewable energy / energy transition preferred

BA / BS required, with a preference for coursework in finance, economics, accounting, science, or engineering.

Project finance experience including tax equity investment is a plus.

MBA or CFA certification preferred
