The Role : As a Mobile RV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining recreational vehicles (RVs) at various locations, including campgrounds, homes, and other designated areas.
You will work independently and travel to customers' locations to provide on-site service for their RVs, ensuring their vehicles are in optimal condition for safe and enjoyable travels.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Responsibilities :
Inspect RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and structural components to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform repairs efficiently and effectively to ensure RVs are in proper working condition.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and lubrication to prevent breakdowns and ensure the longevity of RV systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, lights, and appliances.
Repair or replace faulty components as needed.
Additionally, address plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and water heater malfunctions.
Service and repair various appliances commonly found in RVs, such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, and water heaters.
Ensure appliances are functioning correctly and safely.
Diagnose problems with RV heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Repair or replace components such as furnaces, air conditioners, and vents to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
Address structural issues such as roof leaks, siding damage, and window or door problems.
Perform repairs using appropriate materials and techniques to restore the integrity of the RV's structure.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns, explain necessary repairs or maintenance procedures, and provide recommendations for optimal RV performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
Complete service reports and invoices in a timely manner.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards to prevent accidents or injuries.
Requirements :
Previous experience as an RV technician or similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with RV systems, appliances, and components is essential.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues in RVs.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement repairs in a timely manner.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers.
Good communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
Stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to travel to customer locations and transport tools and equipment as needed.
Certification from a recognized RV technician program or RV Industry Association (RVIA) certification is desirable but not required.
Work Environment : The work environment for a Mobile RV Technician is dynamic and varies depending on the location of customer RVs.
Technicians may work outdoors in all weather conditions and may encounter tight spaces, heights, and potentially hazardous materials.
They may also be required to travel frequently within a designated service area.
