NEW HIRE BONUS PROGRAM - $1500!!! (payable at 3 months and 6 months - $750 each)
This position will primarily perform Shipping, Inventory and Receiving functions. The percentage of time spent in each function will vary depending on which area is of primary focus on a given day.
The below percentages represent an individual performing all logistics support functions on a daily basis.
JOB DUTY
1. Receive & route customer / vendor equipment by performing the following functions :
- Unload boxes and packages from delivery trucks.
- Unpack boxes and examine contents for damage, discrepancies related to order paperwork, bills of lading, etc.
- Document incoming shipments and any discrepancies according to established procedures related to serial numbers, part numbers and other product identifiers.
- Enter all relevant information into company’s software system
- Sort and categorize incoming shipments according to customer and product route.
- Physically move equipment to designated racks, shelves, bins, stocking or processing locations according to established procedures.
2. Ship customer / vendor equipment by performing the following functions :
- Compare identifying information such as count, weight, and / or measures of items for accuracy against documentation.
- Review customer requirements for packing materials and include those accordingly.
- Select appropriate packaging and materials for outgoing customer equipment and place items within the packaging neatly in order to avoid damage through the transportation process.
Properly seal packages and load them onto outgoing delivery trucks.
3. Visually inspect equipment for any apparent of obvious defects or damage. Document such issues according to established procedures.
4. Perform inventory documentation job duties, including inventory swaps, physical audits, cycle counts, and related documentation of inventory / items in appropriate computer systems and per designated processes.
Sort, place, and organize materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Document movement of items / inventory in related computer systems and / or databases through use of identification labels, bar codes, serial numbers or other relevant information.
5. Maintain neat and orderly work area, free from obvious safety hazards and organized in such a way to maximize productivity.
Dispose of excess packing materials through recycling or other disposal procedures.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2 years’ experience performing shipping / receiving, warehouse, or inventory functions preferred. Experience with forklift, pallet jack, and other materials moving equipment strongly preferred.
- Experience working with technical equipment, part numbers, serial numbers, and other unique equipment identifiers preferred.
- Ability to navigate computer software programs and work with e-mail required; Experience with freight carrier shipment services, WMS and ERP software systems preferred.
- Ability to alphabetize documentation and place items / paperwork in numerical order is required.
- Ability to read and visually identify small serial numbers, part numbers, and other product identifiers is required.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift is required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. Occasionally, Team lifts / moves of items weighing over 100lbs. will be required.
