Where Do We Need Help?
The Production Supervisor oversees personnel and equipment to meet production goals and ensure timely shipments while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
As production supervisor you'll manage and motivate team members, fostering collaboration and safety.
You will :
- Team Supervision & Leadership : Provide knowledge, motivation, support, and guidance to Team Members. Lead by example to inspire teamwork and cooperation across all departments.
- Production Oversight : Manage all production processes, including scheduling, throughput rates, packaging, and palletizing, to meet daily and weekly production goals.
- Performance Management : Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to operations. Regularly update the VP of Operations on progress, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Food & Workplace Safety : Ensure compliance with Food Safety policies in alignment with IPIA (International Packaged Ice Association) standards.
Collaborate with Team Leads and Team Members to uphold food and workplace safety practices.
Training & Development : Work closely with the VP of Operations and Human Resources Manager to provide required training for Team Members and Team Leads.
Encourage continuous development and growth within the team.
- Inventory & Equipment Management : Follow inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels. Ensure that all equipment is operational and ready at the beginning of each production shift.
- Inspections & Audits : Conduct regular inspections and audits of work areas to ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
Perform routine product quality checks.
Safety Leadership : Promote safety initiatives throughout the plant, tracking and communicating safety metrics to staff.
Investigate and follow up on any accidents or injuries, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed promptly.
- Performance Standards : Set clear performance standards for team members, utilizing performance management processes to provide feedback and identify opportunities for development.
- Culture Development : Foster a positive, growth-oriented culture that promotes team collaboration, personal development, and the cultivation of strong talent.
Qualifications
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years managing people in a production environment, preferably in the ice or related food production industry with an understanding of seasonal demand.
- Leadership : 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in motivating teams and driving results.
- Continuous Improvement : Experience with quality management methodologies and continuous process improvement, including root cause analysis and process optimization.
- Technical Skills : Knowledge of manufacturing and distribution capabilities, along with strong computer skills for tracking performance metrics.
- Organizational Skills : Results-driven with excellent organizational and time management skills, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Language Proficiency : Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Total Compensation :
- Base Salary : $60,000
