What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Management is responsible for cultivating and maintaining on-going customer relationships with an assigned set of customers.

Provides new and existing customers with the best possible service and recommendations in relation to billing inquiries, service requests, improvements to internal and external processes, and other areas of opportunity.

Provides product service information to customers and identifies upselling opportunities to maintain and increase income streams from customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned Medical Products and Distribution customer(s) as it pertains to supply chain health and general service needs.
  • Actively manage relationships between the customer’s supply chain team and internal Cardinal Health teams to ensure flawless service.
  • Pursue, initiate, oversee, and take accountability for driving key initiatives that deepen the customer relationships and drive value for both customer and Cardinal Health.
  • Identify, interpret, and manage customer expectations and requirements through proactive account review, issue resolution, and regular engagement and review of key initiatives.
  • Lead order disruption prevention efforts by partnering closely with customer to identify best courses of action and oversee Cardinal Health execution.
  • Lead resolution of complex or persistent order situations where escalation or unique solutions are required.
  • Review key performance indicators monthly and identify plans for optimization.
  • Build and maintain long-term trusted relationships with customer to support retention and growth of the account

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 4-6 years professional experience; direct customer facing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong command of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Highly motivated, creative, able to operate effectively within a team.

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • May require up to 35% travel, client onsite visits and adherence to client / facility policies as well as vendor credentialling requirements.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.
  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Works on complex projects of large scope.
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives.
  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects.
  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives.
  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Anticipated salary range : $65,500 - $98,175
