Construction Manager - Residential

Our Mid-Altanicteam is currently looking for a Construction Manager to join our growing team!

This position can be based out of Philadelphia, Owings Mills, Dover, Baltimore or our Valley Forge office

With minimal supervision, provides construction management services for multi-family residential renovation and new construction building projects.

Performs routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the understanding of standard construction documents, procedures, and criteria.

Responsibilities :

• Monitoring cost control and schedule management.
• Engaging with all stakeholders in a positive manner via verbal and written communication
• Coordinate closely with Client regarding construction activities and job progress especially activities that will interfere with the clients daily operation
• Working with the scheduler to develop a thorough and realistic schedule
• Reviews all field staff reports such as daily field reports and daily photography of work activities and installation methods.
• Ensures project documentation is being named and filed correctly in construction management software or Gannett Sharepoint
• Coordinates schedule and construction activities with 3rd Party Inspectors, Contractors, and Owner staff.
• Working with field staff to ensure Field Quality Verification and Safety Inspections
• Coordinate closely with Field Staff regarding construction activities, job progress, quality verification, and field oversight.
• Provide updates and report to Client with regard to project status.

Education and Licensing requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture or in a construction related field from an accredited college is preferred
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in vertical construction projects.
• Knowledge of Procore is preferred
• Shall be capable of providing clear, concise written and oral communication.
• Effective communicator who is able to maintain and foster positive relationships with public agencies, architects, engineers, permits / inspections departments, utility owners, and company employees
• Understanding of cost control and schedule management
• Resourcefulness, imagination and a passion for challenges
• High level of fairness, honesty and integrity
• Experience with construction of residential / multifamily is preferred.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel
