Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager will :

  • Manage complex employee relations issues and as needed, conducts effective, thorough and objective fact finding meetings
  • Provide performance management guidance to site managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Provide compensation guidance to site managers (promotions, merit, adjustments, bonus)
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and maintenance of records, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with the Managers and the Talent Acquisition team to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for the organization
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team or site leadership to proactively develop solutions
  • Provide guidance and input on site organizational design, workforce strength and succession planning for key roles
  • Manage site employee leave of absence and return to work process
  • Develop and maintain progressive relationships with local union leadership and union committees
  • Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements pertaining to wages, grievances, employee welfare, healthcare benefits, union and management practices
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Team to manage high volume hourly recruiting
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of Human Resources and / or Labor Relations experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and / or a related field
  • Proven record of handling Union Grievances and participating in Arbitration and other Labor-related Proceedings, such as Contract Negotiations
  • Experience with high volume full-cycle Talent Acquisition
  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines, including Compensation practices, Organizational Diagnosis, Employee / Labor Relations, Diversity, Performance Management, and Federal / State Employment laws
  • Knowledge of US Labor & Employment Laws
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) systems
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills :

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Degree in Labor Relations or Human Resources
  • SHRM-CP / SCP or PHR / SPHR a plus
