We have an opening within the Research and Development team at our Salt Lake City, Utah location for a Product Improvement Engineer.

Duties & Responsibilities
This role is dedicated to the engineering and continuous improvement of orthopedic devices, such as prostheses and orthotics, ensuring their excellence and reliability throughout their entire life cycle.
Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations :
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhancing existing orthopedic devices.
- Conduct cost, business, and complaint data analysis, including root cause investigations.
- Develop engineering solutions, including creating and updating CAD models, simulations, and drawings.
- Outline and execute verification and validation activities for necessary changes.
- Work collaboratively with Operations and other departments to implement product improvements.
- Lead and document Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for modifications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure) :
- Bachelor degree in technical field
- 3+ years of work experience ideally in an R&D or manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks to completion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
- Capable of listening to and comprehending information both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experienced in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems.
- Effective time management skills.
- Knowledgeable in the use of HCPC billing codes and Brightree EMR.
