Job Summary
Performs a variety of electrical and / or mechanical maintenance duties including but not limited to set-up, build, repair, and support highly specialized mechanized, electrical or process type machines.
1. Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment.
a. Diagnose and repair specific electronic circuits and controls including DAC lathes and other computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment.
b. Maintain electrical, mechanical and pneumatic control systems.
c. Interpret and apply written specifications, schematic drawings, parts lists, prints and sketches to installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
d. Ability to trace circuitry and update schematics as required.
2. Perform preventative maintenance.
a. Inspect, repair, and maintain plant equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
b. Document preventative maintenance procedure in accordance with federal and internal procedures.
3. Build prototype machines.
a. Assemble, wire and test equipment.
b. Fabricate specialized tooling and other machine shop functions to support manufacturing needs.
4. Assist in the writing of and maintenance of SOPs and other documentation according to Federal and Internal procedures.
a. Preventative maintenance.
b. Standard Operator Procedure (SOP) compliance.
c. Record activities in the equipment history system (., RAM-Blue Mountain).
5. Assist in training other mechanics.
6. As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.
7. Perform other duties as directed by department Supervisor including but is not limited to : plumbing, electronics, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Aptitude, knowledge, and / or experience with basics of one or more skilled trade such as : electrician, machinist, pipefitter.
- Familiarity with shop trade terminology and materials used, general knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to use tools and test equipment properly.
- Computer numerically controlled (CNC) experience preferred.
- Electronics background preferred.
- Computers, PC proficiency.
- Lathes, mills, power tools, lasers, grinders, cut-off saws vacuum pumps, compressors and multiple hand tools.
- Exhibits good communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
- Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.

Experience :
- 5-7 years of experience in electronics / electrical / mechanical field and / or related fields.
- Licensed toolmaker, machinist and / or electrician preferred.
Education :
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Electronics preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Electronics Certification desired
- Completion of an apprenticeship program, military program or trade school with 2 years of experience.

For . locations that require disclosure of compensation, the pay range for this position is from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
