Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide medically necessary services to the incarcerated population for approximately 35 - 40 hours per week.
The Occupational Therapist's duties and responsibilities consist of :
Apply the appropriate interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) while in a correctional setting
Create treatment and therapy plans to suit individualized needs, with consideration for the correctional environment
Assign and monitor work performed by the COTA
Work collaboratively with medical staff, and provide training, when necessary
Qualifications :
Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accreditation institution Current and valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the State of Rhode Island Minimum five (5) years'
experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a public or private hospital, or correctional setting.
