CNC Programmer Houston TX job duties :
- Set up and operate CNC machines, specifically Okuma Machines, to perform machining tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and threading.
- Load materials into machines, adjust machine settings, and monitor the production process to ensure optimal results.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand specifications, tolerances, and dimensions for each machining operation.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged tooling.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications, making necessary adjustments to the machine settings when needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions, and collaborate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered during the machining process.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to optimize production processes and address any issues that arise.
CNC Programmer Houston TX Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC Okuma machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, with a focus on Okuma Machines.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming principles, tooling, and materials.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Must be familiar with G code programming.
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on CNC machines.
- Ability to reprogram machine.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Prioritizes safety and follows established safety protocols.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- No felonies in the last 3 years, no violent felonies ever.
Location : Houston TX
Pay : $25-$35 depending on experience
Shift : Monday Friday 7 am 3 : 30 pm
