FULLY REMOTE JAPANESE DOCUMENT REVIEW ATTORNEYS NEEDED

$75 / HOUR

1+ year of experience is required)

We are seeking skilled Japanese Document Review Attorneys for a contract assignment that is expected to last until the end of this year.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed document reviews for legal cases, primarily focused on Japanese-language materials.

You will support litigation, compliance, and corporate legal matters by reviewing and analyzing documents in both Japanese and English, ensuring accuracy and relevance to ongoing cases or investigations.

Key Responsibilities :

Document Review : Analyze, review, and interpret legal documents, emails, contracts, and other records in Japanese for relevance, privilege, and other case-related issues.

Translation Support : Assist with translating key documents from Japanese to English (and vice versa) when necessary, ensuring accurate comprehension of legal terms.

Legal Analysis : Apply legal knowledge to identify critical issues in documents relevant to litigation, regulatory investigations, or corporate transactions.

Compliance and Due Diligence : Assist with compliance matters, due diligence, and risk assessment by reviewing Japanese-language materials.

Collaboration : Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support teams to provide updates and insights from document review.

Research : Conduct legal research as required, particularly focusing on Japanese law and regulations that may be relevant to cases.

Required Qualifications :

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership (U.S. or another relevant jurisdiction).

Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and verbal), with strong reading comprehension in both languages.

Prior experience in Japanese document review (preferably for litigation or corporate matters).

Proficient in using e-discovery platforms (such as Relativity, Concordance, etc.).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling large volumes of documents efficiently and accurately.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.

Strong understanding of legal concepts, including privilege, relevance, and confidentiality.

Compensation : $75 / hour
