Position Overview :

As a Veterinary Assistant at Lewisville Animal Hospital, you'll play a vital role in our commitment to delivering personalized care and compassion to every patient we serve.

From assisting our veterinarians with medical procedures to offering comfort and reassurance to pet owners, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference each day.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll have an open door to explore various growth paths within our hospital, including the possibility of becoming a veterinary technician, delving into specialty medicine, or pursuing future management positions.

Department Veterinary Assistants Employment Type Full Time Location Lewisville, North Carolina Workplace type Onsite Compensation $12 - $15 / two weeks

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

• Caring for our Boarding animals
• Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep
• Patient handling and restraint
• Medication administration & filling prescriptions
• Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed
• Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• High school diploma or GED required
• Preferred have at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience
• Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff.

It’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
• Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
