SMRT is a multi-disciplinary, full-service architecture and engineering firm specializing in the design of high-performing, complex and sustainable environments nationwide with a concentration in the Northeast.

Our internship program focuses on creating opportunities for our student interns to hone their skills and gain valuable real-life experience.
Program Details :
- SMRT’s Summer Internship Program runs for 12 Weeks from June to August.
- Our internships are paid positions.
- Interns must be able to work in-person in the office where they accept the internship.
- Application Window Ends : January 15, 2025.
What We’re Looking For :
- Education : You’ve completed at least two years of a Bachelor or Master of Interior Design or Interior Architecture program
- Portfolio : Interiors students are required to provide a portfolio to be considered.
- Travel : Must be able to travel to the Portland, ME office for the Intern Summit, and the Andover, MA office for a mid-point check-in (travel expenses paid by SMRT).

Requirements :
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Interior Design or Interior Architecture program.
- Have completed the second year of the degree program prior to starting the internship.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT
- Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
