Family Services Manager

Families and Youth Innovation Plus is hiring a full-time Family Services Manager

The Family Services Manager is directly responsible for overseeing the Community Based Programs and Family Outreach Services.

They will be responsible for administrative, operational, and programmatic support, leadership, and oversight of assigned programs, units, projects, initiatives, and / or divisions.

This position will be expected to work in a team with agency directors, program managers, and supervisors to ensure the administrative, operational, and programmatic needs of each assigned program are identified and strategically addressed in a manner that is consistent with our agency values, philosophies, contract standard of work practices, and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Attend all assigned agency, division, team, and community meetings with the primary goal of contributing perspective and input, as well as engaging in intentional collaboration
  • Maintain documentation and records services delivered in accordance with agency and division systems, policies, and expectations, and in compliance with state, insurance, and contract requirements
  • Ensure that documentation and reports are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with division systems, policies, and expectations, and in compliance with state, insurance, and contract requirements
  • Provide clinical coaching and guidance to assigned staff in the areas of case formulation & plan of care development, case staffings,clinical practice, transition & discharge planning, safety planning, and reflective supervision (individual and group)
  • Provide education and training to the agency in the areas of mental health, clinical frameworks, evidence-informed and based practices, including child welfare & safety training
  • When appropriate, complete any notes and billing related to any support, resource, interaction, or service provided to program participants and their families in a timely manner and in accordance with set deadlines
  • Record appropriate documentation and maintain accurate program records as to maintain compliance with contract and program reporting and data entry requirements
  • Oversee and manage child and family well-being programs
  • Supervise and lead a team of at least 3 professionals
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance on complex child welfare cases
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve program effectiveness
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance and outcomes

Qualifications and Experience

Master's degree in Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology from an accredited College or University.

LISW, LCSW, LPC, etc.

  • Must maintain a full certification of the following trainings; CPR / First Aid and CPI
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in working within the child welfare and family services systems, to include experience in the following service areas and / or populations : substance abuse & recovery, homelessness, LGBTQ+ community, system involved (juvenile justice, protective services, etc.

BIPOC / underrepresented, mental health treatment, trauma-informed care, developmental disabilities, etc.

Minimum of 4 years experience in providing direct supervision and management within a non-profit, behavioral health, educational, or similar setting or organization.

Certification and Knowledge

  • Must maintain a full certification of the following trainings; CPR / First Aid and CPI
  • Mid-level license in a mental health field, preferably social work
  • Independent clinical licensure or actively working towards independent licensure
  • Monitoring, accountability, management, consultation, staffing, formulation, Coaching, and direction
  • Ensuring HIPAA compliance across all assigned programs and will provide on-call coverage as assigned.
  • Informed and familiar with each assigned program's unique contractual scopes of work and contractual expectations related to frameworks, deliverables, billing / invoicing systems, support, and supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and staffing complex child welfare cases, including those with safety concerns for children
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and make critical decisions
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in child welfare
  • Basic budget review and management skills
