MAINTENANCE TECH
Reports to : Director of Administration FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt

Shift : 9am - 2pm T, Thu (Flexible)

Overall Responsibility
Under the direction of the Director of Administration, The Maintenance Tech is responsible for a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of Flance property and equipment.
This position is responsible for maintaining electrical, mechanical and related systems. Responsible for reporting and completing all safety related maintenance duties.
Interactions
- Reviews monthly facility walkthrough findings needing addressing with Director of Administration. Receives and reviews work order requests submitted by staff.
- Instructs volunteers on workday projects.
- Assists Director of Administration with contacting contractors for needed repairs.
Implementation
- Assist in determining plan to address maintenance / repair needs.
- Completes daily, weekly or monthly maintenance / repair needs including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall or any other cosmetic repair.
- Cleans HVAC equipment as needed.
- Assembles classroom equipment.
Planning
- Completes monthly facility walkthrough.
- Develop list of contractors for maintenance / repair needs which cannot be completed internally.

Environmental Factors
Works indoor and outdoors. Noise and activity levels can be high; staff, visitors, families and children come and go at all times.
Position requires a health screen and annual Family Safety Registry background check. Flance Center is a busy, unique environment.
Employees are expected to participate fully in the life of the Center. All employees must be able to lift 25 lbs. in the event of an evacuation or emergency situation.
Education / Experience
- Two years maintenance experience
- Previous experience in educational and / or group home environment would be a plus
- Experience servicing HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing experience would be a plus
- Understanding of child care licensing regulations a plus
