Job Details
- LPN - Skilled Nursing Unit at Fairmont Medical Center.
- Contract length is 13 weeks.
- Shifts are 12 hours for days and nights.
Job Requirements
- Experience working as an LPN in hospital or skilled nursing.
- Experience with IV, blood draws, medication administration.
- Customer service skills.
- Knowledge of EPIC documentation system preferred.
Schedule Information
- Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a.
- No block scheduling, but preferred scheduling.
Unit Specific Information
- CNA : Patient Ratios - 1 : 8 CNAs, 1 : 10 LPNs.
- No self-scheduling or block scheduling allowed.
- Royal Blue scrub color / dress code.
- Charge Nurse / House Supervisor role as needed.
- Job duties include blood sugars, insertion of catheters, IV removal, medication management, communication skills.
- 12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled.
Additional Details
- Common diagnoses / types of patients include deconditioned, post-surgery, falls, dialysis, CHF, stroke.
- BLS certification is required.
- EPIC is the documentation system.
- Omnicell is the pharmacy dispensing unit.
