KCSS Music Director (Student Assistant)

Position Summary One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position in Communication Studies.

Start Date Position available on or after September 2, 2024 and ending on or before May 31, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Job Description / Duties Duties include but are not limited to : Maintain and enhance music inventory through correspondence with the music industry.

Monitor and assist KCSS broadcasters with music selection.Coordinate and report weekly and monthly charts.Maintain regular office hours and attend staff meetings.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrates the willingness to commit to employment through June 30, 2024.Demonstrates working knowledge of the operation of a college radio station, some management and non-commercial radio experience.

Demonstrates completion of one semester of COMM 3112.Demonstrates effective organizational and communication skills.Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Demonstrates prior experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.

Required Qualifications :

Undergraduate students must be registered / enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall / Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall / Spring units.

Salary Range
