Role
As the Senior Manager of Legal Training and Development, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all training and development programs for legal professionals within a company or law firm.
You will work closely with legal leadership to identify training needs, develop curriculum, and track the progress of training programs.
Key responsibilities include
- Collaborating with legal leadership to assess and identify training needs within the organization.
- Designing and implementing training programs for legal professionals, including onboarding, continuing education, and leadership development.
- Developing curriculum and training materials, including presentations, workshops, and online courses.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborating with external vendors, consultants, and legal associations to provide additional training resources.
- Managing the budget and resources for training and development programs.
- Keeping abreast of legal industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Providing coaching and mentorship to legal professionals to support their career growth and development.
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote diversity and inclusion within the legal department.
- Overseeing and managing a team of training professionals and support staff.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
- Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where the organization operates.
- 8+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on training and professional development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with legal leadership and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Knowledge of legal industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Experience managing a team of training professionals.
- Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal department.
Compensation
- $175-230k + bonus
