How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) nAs a Ground Maintenance Mechanic (GMM) in a motorized role, you will be a part of Delta’s Ground Support Equipment team.

This opportunity requires 6 months of experience in a vehicle / heavy equipment maintenance environment and an understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields as they apply to industrial powered systems.

A GMM (Motorized) performs similar tasks of a semi-skilled vehicle / heavy equipment maintenance mechanic.

n n tSummary of responsibilities : n t* Applies appropriate tooling, equipment, and material to accomplish minor maintenance functions including inspections, minor troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and replacing components on select Ground Support Equipment.

n t* Assists a Lead Ground Maintenance Technician or a Ground Maintenance Technician on motorized equipment as needed. n t* Completes data entry to record work assignments and will connect with other Company personnel as needed.

n n tThis position is full-time with a starting pay of $25.71 per hour. n n tInternal Movement Eligibility n t* Must be in good standing in current position (no formal performance development - Written Coaching Letter, Corrective or Final Action Notice, within the past 6 months).

Has not transferred in the past six months from current department in current station.

This requirement can be waived for promotional opportunities such as SA to CSA / CXA or CSA / CXA to Specialty CSA / CXA.

n t* Be current role for at least 1 year if transferring from outside of the ACS / CGO / Clean / GSE division. n t* Currently on active status, however, if are on an inactive status, you may be eligible to transfer if returned to active status prior to the transfer date.

n t* Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. n t* Must have a valid driver's license.

n t* Must be proficient in English. n t* Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds. n t* Be willing to work a fixed and / or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

n t* Must achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests structured to determine ability to perform required tasks. n n nWhat will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) n* A detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subject areas.

n t* Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information found in technical documents, manuals, and schematics. n t* Strong communication while working as a team and coordinating repairs with other Delta personnel and outside vendors.
