The Regional Manager is responsible for increasing market share profitably for their region and building strong customer relationships with a quality reputation.

The Regional Manager is responsible for leading, providing direction and mentoring Operations Managers, Superintendents and Foremen to ensure projects are completed on time, safely and within budget to meet or exceed customer requirements for their region.

Physical and Environmental Factors :

  • Ability to work outdoors and to work in all types of outdoor weather.
  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift as needed.
  • Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing skilled movement.
  • Ability to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time.
  • 85% travel.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :

  • Responsible for increasing market share profitably through new and existing customers for assigned regions and projects.
  • Leads, directs, and mentors Operations Managers, Superintendents and Foremen regarding all aspects of projects to ensure on time safe completion while meeting all financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Responsible for staffing, actively recruiting new talent, retention of existing employees and promoting career advancement.
  • Manages employee relations and provides recognition, discipline, and performance evaluations.
  • Identifies, obtains, and approves subcontractors.
  • Recommends and initiates training and cross training for all personnel in responsibility to become experts in their field.
  • Develops bids, plans, budgets, and projections and has a thorough understanding of contracts.
  • Monitors performance and provides direction for all projects within the region to budget, safety, and quality standards.
  • Enforces and ensures all daily duties such as housekeeping, preventative maintenance, production reporting and employee time reporting are completed accurately and timely through direct reports.
  • Enforces adherence to all company, local, state, federal policies and job specific guidelines and regulations.
  • Promotes a culture of teamwork and continual improvement.
  • Utilizes and enhances the usage of all information systems.
  • Directs and assists in all project planning, scheduling and activities with Operations Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents and Foremen and takes the appropriate corrective action to meet or beat deadlines.
  • Builds positive relationships with customers, utility owners, public, subcontractors, crews, and internal PUSH team members.
  • Prepares all required reports and correspondence to management.
  • Recommends, obtains approval, and implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, salaries, and new technology.
  • Represents Push, Inc. in a positive and professional manner always.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements continuous improvement processes and procedures that will elevate the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and / or Experience :

  • Education : Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in construction or related field preferred, but not required.
  • Work Experience : Ten (10) years’ experience in a Utility Construction environment with five (5) years of management experience.
  • Industry Knowledge : Proven experience with various Utility Construction projects, including estimating. First-hand knowledge of the most popular brands of Utility Construction equipment and products used for underground and aerial construction.

Knowledge of safety procedures regarding the Utility Construction industry.

Requirements :

  • Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
  • Working knowledge of budget and financial statements.
  • Must be able to read staking sheets and other types of engineering and contractual documents.
  • Proactive with excellent problem solving to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Embrace new technologies.
  • Ability to provide leadership and management to all employees.
  • Knowledge of Southeast region and estimating.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Effective listening, interacting with others and writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Computer literate and experience using Microsoft and Google G suite.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and prepare all project-related work reports.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and workloads.
  • Must possess technical competence and mechanical abilities.
  • Knowledge of permits required.
  • Must have excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for resolution.
  • Extremely organized and able to multitask.
  • Engineering background is a plus.
