Position Summary

The Sales Director role demands over 10 years of proven sales expertise in subscription-based sales, gym / fitness or membership sales, or corporate sales.

This individual will oversee the successful launch of New Site’s initial member base, cultivate relationships with automotive dealers and large-scale employers (500+), and spearhead the development of the Unlimited Wash Club membership program across all EWC markets.

Additionally, the Sales Director will be responsible for building and managing teams to support these sales categories while monitoring overall redemption and retention efforts.

This role requires a seasoned professional capable of driving strategic sales initiatives and fostering sustainable growth within a dynamic market environment.

This position will collaborate with the Director of New Site Success and cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance, IT) to standardize sales processes, manage data collection, analysis, and communication to the EWC Home Office team on a weekly basis, reporting progress to the Vice President of Operations.

The Sales Director should excel in new customer acquisition and engaging targeted groups, such as automotive dealers and business clientele.

They should be adept at training team members in field sales and utilizing the EWC Dealer portal for business client interactions.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will :

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and implementing the overall strategy for the company’s Sales Improvement Plan encompassing New Site Launch & Presale, Fleet / Dealer & Corporate Sales, and company-wide UWC Membership program development.
  • Responsible for creating and overseeing a mobile street team to promote and secure presale memberships for New Site locations.

Grow program to be market specific.

  • Oversee the successful launch of New Site’s initial member base development for 40+ locations in multiple markets throughout 2024-25.
  • Identify local businesses to partner with and find target retail areas with high customer accessibility.
  • Highly focused on increasing the ramp-up speed of new membership sign-ups for New Site locations and focused on achieving a 90-day initial member goal.
  • Increase membership sign-up conversion rate for New Sites post 90-day window and promo period. Mentor New Sites in sales training during first 45-60 days.
  • Revitalize current Grand Opening process and promotional Strategy with focus on spreading awareness to the local area.
  • Work in coordination with Director of New Site Success to develop site-specific strategies to ensure achieving member goal timelines.
  • Work with Marketing team on developing social media outreach to support presale campaign and location education awareness.
  • Work with Marketing team on developing a Refer-A-Friend campaign supported both online and by mobile street team to promotion.
  • Identify deliverable metrics and create reporting for performance KPIs, for all 3 sales categories, New Site, Corporate, & UWC.
  • Support established underperforming sites with mentoring / deep dive training in sales of UWC memberships.
  • Development of a scalable, multi-market and multi-branded dealership and corporate sales plan
  • Working from targeted plan, sell Unlimited Wash Club Memberships and retail washes to targeted audiences utilizing EWC sales portal including the following : individual washes, 30-day Unlimited Wash Club Memberships, 12-month Unlimited Wash Club Memberships, and potentially other offerings.
  • Manage and maintain relationship of all automotive dealer and corporate clients.
  • Track, measure, analyze and communicate results of existing portal clients on a regular basis.
  • Work with EWC Customer Service team to troubleshoot tag and wash issues.
  • Work with Marketing to determine budget for pre-identified advertising and marketing material specific to Dealer / Corporate Sales program.
  • Ongoing portal management including identifying enhancement opportunities.
  • Communicate with multiple technology vendors & offsite developers.
  • Additional tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related Communications field
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience implementing sales programs for high-growth companies
  • Over 10 years of demonstrable sales experience, preferably in subscription-based sales, gym / fitness, or membership sales
  • Ability to independently manage multi-market sales projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
