ABOUT US
The Caring Place provides emergency shelter, residential programs, job training, education & computer literacy classes, healthcare, transitional housing, permanent housing, employment opportunities for homeless men, women, and children as well as programs for at-risk youth.
SHIFT : Monday - Friday 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Some weekends will be required for outreach events)
JOB SUMMARY
The C ampaign & Outreach Coordinator reports to the Community Development Manager and is responsible to plan, organize, promote and oversee all Campaigns and Outreaches held on both Miami and Broward Campuses including bringing in new financial revenue of income and gift-in-kind donations through events / outreaches being held at the center.
The Community Development Department has many outreaches going on throughout the year as well as various campaigns. This person would organize from start to finish.
DUTIES
- Oversee and organize all campaigns and outreaches
- Must be able to organize small and large campaigns / outreaches from beginning to end including keeping supervisor informed with proper checklists
- Keep adequate notebooks & spreadsheets of planning procedures including budgets, contacts and details on how Campaign / outreach is executed
- Must generate outcomes (Monetary and or GIK ) from campaigns / outreaches
- Work along with Community Development Manager to request all permits needed for outreaches and also pre-planning for upcoming campaigns
- Submit all media request to the communications department in a timely manner this includes sending calendar request to appropriate managers within the campus
- Make check request for all campaigns / outreaches
- Maintain systematic tracking outcomes for Community Development
- Reports to track and monitor gifts that are coming from various campaigns and outreaches
- Further the income revenue through, GIK, monies and drives
- Maintain various calendars for the CD Department in Miami & Broward
- Enter all appropriate and detailed information into the Data System
- Other duties include
- Make sure all areas around campus are decorated for various holidays and occasions (Center for Men Chapel, lobby and annex, Center for Women, Central office etc.
for all current drives, events and outreaches
- Attend all re-cap and planning meeting (assist in taking notes) & sending out to all parties also assist in sending out calendar request to host meetings
- Make posters, banners, badges and flyers for the Miami and Broward Campus for all outreaches and campaigns
- Be responsible for organizing and labeling all items going in and out of the events cage this includes keeping an up to date inventory of what is stored
- Assist with all projects assigned by the Community Development Manager for both Miami and Broward
- Will lead and / or participate in devotions, prayers, or other ministry activities ex. outreach events
- Must be in agreement with and sign The Caring Place Statement of Faith
REQUIREMENTS
- Requires a High School diploma or GED
- Must be a self-motivated, highly organized team player, and be able to work in an environment where they are not afraid to get their hands dirty by helping to organize events and campaigns
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to understand and carry out oral and written directions in English
- Requires a professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all levels of volunteers, donors, public, residents and staff
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit for extended periods, and have the ability to lift and / or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to see, hear and speak, in order to interact with staff and the general public
- Must be able to move around as needed to perform essential job duties
