Peoplelink Staffing has a client in the Greensboro area that is looking for day and night shift technicians. Must have mechanical aptitude and be willing to work 12 hour shifts either 7a-7p or 7p-7a.

Monday - Thursday. (Night shift will go to 7p-7a Mon-Thurs. for 3 weeks and then Sun.-Wed. for 1 week when hired on to client payroll)

This is a growing and diverse company with room to grow. Pay will be 16.00+ per hour DOE.

Summary of work performed

Assist process engineers and production manager with monofilament production.

Essential Functions (Major job duties

Supervise and coordinate daily production on monofilament and multifilament extruders in the absence of the process engineers.

Assist process engineers in troubleshooting.

Repair extruders.

Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in Extrusion Department as scheduled.

Train existing and new employees on operation of extruders.

Assist process engineers in all aspects of production.

Provide technical assistance to team leaders and operators during start ups, changeovers, and power failures.

Work with process engineers, team leaders, and operators to improve operation efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction.

Lead by promoting safety, quality, and teamwork throughout the department.

Ensure good housekeeping.

Monitor production, winding, and creeling to ensure quality.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the process engineers.

Will have leadership responsibilities.

Education / knowledge requirements (IF APPLICABLE)

Proficient in writing, reading, speaking, and understanding English.

Ability to add, multiply, subtract, and divide.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

dESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (IF APPLICABLE)

Mechanically and / or electrically inclined. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with engineers and operators.

Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Good troubleshooting skills.

Proficient in using metric tools.

PHYSICAL EFFORT (if applicable)

Ability to stand and to use hands and fingers to handle and feel. Frequently required to walk and to reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to lift and / or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS (if applicable)

Noise level is usually loud.

HAZARDS (if applicable)

Job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
