Student Research Assistant Position(s)
Hiring 1-2 Research Assistants to work on a research project entitled Communication and Interracial Solidarity : Toward an Integrated Model of Communication, Coping, and Intra-and Inter-group Collective Action.
This project aims to develop an integrated model that examines the impact of communication activities at interpersonal and organizational levels, along with individual attributes, on racial minority groups’ coping strategies, intra- and inter-group collective action, and psychological well-being.
Research Assistants will provide feedback on research protocol and assist with interview participants recruitment and data collection.
Additional projects may include assisting with the creation of posters, flyers, and infographics for community outreach and engagement.
Most of the work will be conducted from February to May 2024, with the possibility for some additional light work in June July 2024.
During the academic year, RAs should have at least 5 hours of regular availability per week M-F in the 9a-5p time frame.
Work will be a combination of in-person during business hours and on-your-own’ tasks which can be done at your own schedule.
Requirements :
- Expertise with Google suite
- Expertise with Zoom
- Desire / interest to work with Asian American and African American communities.
Additional Information :
Pay is USF standard $16.99 / hour for undergraduate students and $17.99 / hour graduate students. Work study students, please apply!
Preference will be given to students who have obtained CITI certificate for Human Subjects Research, had previous work experience with in-depth interviews, qualitative research, and graphic design (Canva / InDesign / Photoshop).
