- Supervises : Sales and Warehouse Team
DWF is looking for a General Manager who has :
- Strong leadership qualities with experience in people management.
- A confident approach to technology and a willingness to learn and implement the company’s new operating system.
- Strong sales acumen : Customer service mentality with an understanding of profit margins, inventory management, labor costs, etc.
and their impacts on business operations.
- A desire to assist in all areas of operations and provides hands-on support.
- A hospitality, restaurant, F&B and / or floral industry background with buying experience.
- Experience with operating and managing a small business, preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Ensure implementation and adoption of DWF’s new operating system.
- Assist Branch Manager in implementing sales strategies after reviewing daily sales, margin and inventory reports.
- Monitor vendor performance and relationships.
- Execute and / or monitor purchasing to maximize sales, gross profits and inventory turns while minimizing product dumps and write-offs.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to employees with follow up and coaching as necessary.
- Manage and participate in daily operations such as packing, invoicing, loading trucks, etc.
- Walk coolers daily to review temperatures, inventory levels and product quality.
- Ideally, this position has the opportunity for further leadership opportunities.
