Senior Associate / Accounting Manager

Our client, a strong stable company is looking for a Hands-on Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller to join their team.

Below is a snapshot of the opportunity. Apply now to be considered. We are looking for an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller, under the guidance of the CFO, to oversee all aspects of the general ledger and payroll systems, supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities.

This is a VERY hands-on position with a lot of moving parts and requires exceptional organizational skills. This is a position where you will have hands on exposure to virtually every aspect of the financial side of the business.

The position will offer exposure to every aspect of the financial side of the business. Responsibilities Manage the month and year-end close process, accounts payable / receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll (which is processed internally for a 100+ employee company), treasury, budgeting cash, variance analysis and fixed asset reconciliations Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly Issue timely and complete financial reports and BOD books at the end of every month Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles Coordinate and complete annual review with outside CPA firm Complete annual business license renewals, property tax returns and Secretary of State renewals Produce and file timely and complete quarterly payroll tax returns Produce annual W-2’s and 1099’s and timely filing of W-3’s and 1096’s Annual business insurance and medical insurance renewals Work with CFO and outside insurance company to complete annual workers comp audit Work with outside auditors to complete annual 401k audit Meet financial accounting objectives Skills Advanced computer skills in Excel, word and accounting software (Sage100 a plus) Ability to manipulate large amounts of data High attention to detail and accuracy BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Background in operations is a plus Strong interpersonal skills as you will be working with all the other department managers A good understanding of doing what it takes to get the job done An understanding of intercompany transactions a plus To Apply Now, please email your resume to Andree Frost, Andree@stafffinancial.
