SCOPE OF POSITION :
Responsible for all general electrical maintenance and construction, problem analysis, and repair of electrical problems, throughout the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management.
All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, organizational specific policies, procedures and practices.
- Performs or coordinates preventive maintenance of switchgear and wire terminations, Back-up power systems, lighting controllers, and other systems as required.
- Installs or troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Monitors facility systems for proper operation and takes corrective action on issues as required.
- Works in conjunction with management to develop and deploy methods to conserve energy.
- Maintains inventory spare parts stock to ensure quick response to facility needs.
- Utilizes the maintenance management software to log time and materials on jobs. Closes job when work is completed.
- Maintains certification as required for operation of all company equipment and vehicles.
- Creates material lists to support work in progress, obtaining quotes and coordinating the order with their supervisor.
- Takes direction from Facility Supervisors in prioritizing projects to be completed, work coordination with other departments, and aesthetic standards.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all materials and tools used in the normal course of performing the functions of the position.
- Performs the functions of the position within all applicable safety and required OSHA standards.
- Performs preparatory procedures on assigned projects and organizes time to assure all proper steps are taken in completing and producing a finished job.
- Performs troubleshooting on complex control systems.
- Adheres to the company’s standard levels ensuring daily work and special projects are completed in an efficient and professional manner, abiding by local, NFPA, and NEC codes.

- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record as outlined in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Attendance Policy.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An applicant’s education, training and experience must be sufficient to demonstrate that the applicant possesses the ability to successfully perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is required.
High School diploma or equivalent. Journeyman certification from an accredited trade school for completion of Electrical Apprenticeship program.
Three years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician with at least one year background in automation and controls. Ability to read and interpret documents such as complex schematic diagrams, line drawings, and blueprints.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under FireKeepers Casino Hotel insurance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
GENERAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Electrician experience in a casino, entertainment, or hospitality environment. Strong troubleshooting skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
