Job Description

Our client, a leading supplier in the construction industry and a family business operating in Georgia for more than 30 years, is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer to join their growing team.

This high-growth company has an outstanding reputation for superior service, high quality standards, and building long-term relationships with their customers.

This fractional role will have a somewhat flexible schedule of approximately 30-40 hours per month and will be remote / hybrid, ideally located in the metro Atlanta area.

This is a 6+ month open-ended contract role.

Summary

A successful candidate will be a hands-on financial businessperson and oversee the financial activities of the organization as well as operational duties.

They will be consultative and collaborative, seeking optimal solutions most effective for the business.

Supervisory and Advisory Responsibilities

• Oversees Accounting, Inventory Management / Invoicing, Cash Management, Budget preparation, Forecasting and liaison to outside CPA for taxes and annual financial review.
• Interfaces with leadership to enhance revenue reporting, streamline processes, and create and track Key Performance Indicators.
• Works with team to maximize growth and efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities

• Works with the leadership team to coordinate planning, priorities, and strategic direction.
• Prepares all financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Prepares financial and covenant forecasts for leadership, banks, and shareholders.
• Cash Management Planning, to the customer and vendor level, for short term and long term expected trends.
• Analyze inventory utilization and forecast short- and long-term equipment needs.
• Production Planning for the purchase of additional equipment.
• Develop, renew, and monitor employee compensation and benefit plans.
• Analyzes sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses.
• Studies workflow processes and advise on mechanisms to enhance efficiency and further automation.

Requirements

• Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
• Prior accounting / finance support in Distribution a must.
• Small to mid-size company support multiple entities.
• Technology :
• Office 365
• Strong ERP proficiency, ideally with Epicor Prophet 21
• CRM, ideally Rubber Tree Systems
• Web-Based Reporting, ideally with WebQuery
• QuickBooks Online and / or Desktop
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative approach to projects.
• Passion for finance / accounting and operations.
• Growth-oriented mindset and strategic approach.
• Understanding of banking relationships.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA / MBA a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in financial leadership and management.

Pay Rate : $85.00-$100.00 / hour. Final determination of pay rate will be based on an evaluation of experience, education, budget, etc.
