The WebCTRL Building Automation System (BAS) is a powerful web-based platform that provides facility managers with software tools to keep occupants comfortable, manage energy conservation measures, identify key operational problems, and analyze the results.

The i-Vu® Building Automation System (BAS) provides a 360 view of your building’s entire operation. It’s everything you need to maintain a healthy, comfortable environment for occupants while optimizing energy usage and resolving problems faster.

About this role

As a Product Training Specialist , you will be responsible for providing training and support to develop and grow Carrier and Automated Logic offices throughout North America.

This position will require travel (2-3 weeks a month) to Carrier Distributors and Automated Logic field offices to educate their employees and customers on the design, installation, and maintenance of the i-Vu® and WebCTRL® solutions we offer.

There will also be training that is conducted at the Training Center in Kennesaw, GA for both the Carrier and Automated Logic channels.

Preference will be given to candidates based in Kennesaw, GA, but we are open to accepting applications from candidates outside the area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform training for various levels of users, installers, and engineers of Carrier’s i-Vu® and Automated Logic’s WebCTRL® control system, hardware, and software.
  • Create an open learning atmosphere for students of all HVAC, DDC, and energy management levels
  • Comprehend and develop task-based exercises around highly technical content

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 plus years of experience in all phases of building automation systems (design, installation, commissioning, and repair)
  • 2 plus years of experience in presenting, educating, or training in the HVAC / BAS / DDC (Direct Digital Controls) field
  • 2 3 weeks of traveling per month within the United States
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrate experience in hosting complex learning solutions
  • English written and verbal communication skills
  • Spanish or French will be an advantage
  • Professionalism and credibility
  • Problem-solving and business acumen skills
  • Consulting capability with solid interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Coaching and mentoring others and challenging / influencing peers and customers
  • Understand instructional design theories, methodologies and best practices; i.e., interactive teaching methods and speaking proficiently to an audience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Project management skills and deadline-orientated
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) for eLearning distribution
  • Carrier i-Vu® or Automated Logic WebCTRL® product specific knowledge and application knowledge
  • Understand the equipment used in a control system i.e., Hardware, Networks, Software and be comfortable with technical subject matter
  • Understand mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems that commercial controls would interact with
  • Ability to take lessons and show a real world correlation to the task, be hands-on, use task-based learning
