Position Summary

Develop and manage the product roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, analyzing sales data and market trends, participating in trade shows and customer visits, and being the voice of the consumer by conducting consumer research and focus groups.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the development and management of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and market demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to develop and launch new products.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvements.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to make recommendations for product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and other events to gather market insights and promote Leatherman products.
  • Be the voice of the consumer by conducting consumer research and focus groups in collaboration with the Consumer Insights team to provide detailed analysis to the broader team.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in product management or related role, preferably in hard goods.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for the Leatherman brand and commitment to product excellence.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently sits; talks and hears; uses hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls;

reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally stands and walks; climbs; twists, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.

The employee frequently lifts and / or moves up to 5 lbs., and occasionally lifts and / or moves up to 55 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Working Conditions / Physical Hazards

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment, and is frequently exposed to production environment.

Work area is well-lit and air-conditioned. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where required.

Position can be hybrid or in-office setting based on business need, employee must be local to Portland, OR area.
