Quality Specialist

ABOUT YOUR TASKS :

• Schedule and conduct internal, process, and finished goods audits to ensure quality system compliance.
• Investigate escalated product complaints including Voice of Customer (VOC’s), warranty analysis, and causes of internal non-conformance.
• Inspect work-in-process and finished goods prior to shipment to ensure quality meets company standards.
• Audit manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with standard work instructions / key process and testing certifications.
• Track and report discrepancies found in a manner that assists quality improvement in both office and shop.
• Participate in improvement activities and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and to reduce rework / errors.
• Promote awareness of quality system and regulatory requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and other formal documentation used in manufacturing.
• Experience with sheet metal assembly practices.
• Strong problem solving and team building skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, quality systems and auditing techniques.
• Working knowledge of Quality tools (basic / advanced) and Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong interpersonal and customer interface skills. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Well-developed organizational and time management skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functionally to drive change via CA process.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.

ABOUT YOU :

• Associates degree or 5+ years of experience in a quality department
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment

• Frequently (34-66%) : Hearing / Climbing / Stooping / Kneeling / Fingering / Grasping / Feeling

General office environment and general plant environment.
