Graduate Student Services Advisor (Hybrid)

The Graduate Student Services Advisor will assist students in their academic program by effectively engaging them through various communication channels, including in-person contact, phone calls, and emails.

Advisors must demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills in order to guide students to be successful in the Graduate Studies Program.

Responsibilities :

Effectively manage a portfolio of students.

Effectively and efficiently guide continuing students to ensure they are set up for success, including monitoring absence reports, academic progress, etc.

Maintain a collaborative, professional environment conducive to providing the best customer service possible at all times.

Exhibit effective leadership skills and follow department protocol when communicating with students (or their families), departments, and co-workers.

Demonstrate accurate, current, and comprehensive product knowledge; i.e., information about the University’s academic programs, resources available to assist students, and policies and procedures.

Execute all job duties in a manner compliant with the policies and procedures of the University as well as those observed in the Student Services Department.

Execute all job duties in a manner compliant with accreditation requirements as well as state and / or federal laws / regulations.

Report compliance-related issues or concerns to the Assistant Director, Graduate Student Services, the Vice President, Online Education Services and Student Services, or the Executive Vice President, Financial Aid & Compliance.

Effectively utilize all tools available, including database and software programs.

Assume effective leadership in facilitating resolution of concerns and complaints, ensuring best customer service is consistently provided to students.

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Previous experience working with students in higher education preferred

Passionate about student success and higher education

Empathetic, patient and positive

Excellent phone and written communication skills

Able to thrive in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment

Salesforce experience is a plus

Salary : $50,000 - $66,560 per year

Annually based on experience and location.
