Travel Possible M1 is looking for a Sustainment Engineer / Deputy Program Manager : * Assists the Program Manager (PM) in achieving successful cost, schedule and performance of contract requirements.* Lead the program in the
Contract Program Manager's absence, when requested* Ensures sufficient manpower, training, technical data, tools and equipment are available to meet PWS requirements.
- Develops and continually sustains a culture of compliance, safety above all and professionalism.* Assists the PM / DPM in the use of personnel, equipment, and facilities while maintaining a high degree of flexibility andresponsiveness to the customers' needs.
- Professionally and effectively interfaces with the Functional Commander,
Contract ing Office, Government ProgramManager, internal and external customers, and higher headquarters.* Ensures that the contract is executed in a safe and efficient manner acceptable to the Government.
- Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve operations, streamline processes that reduce cost and / or labor hours andenhance operations.
- Delegates the necessary authority to managers, supervisors, leads and mechanics / technicians / specialists for support andproduction to perform all contract requirements.
- Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime.* Responsible for the safety and security of employees and Government facilities, equipment, classified information andmaterial.
- Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs.* Position requires complying with unique commuting / travel requirements.
- Provides guidance for workforce management on matters pertaining to employee hiring, termination, transfer, evaluation,training and disciplinary actions.
- Ensures 100% safe, on-time, properly configured and reliable aircraft to perform missions in accordance with the PWS.* Reviews TO 00-25-107 submissions and responses.
o Partner with SPO Engineering groups and Government Quality Assuranceo Propose technically sound dispositions that match capabilities of shop and work force* Develops new or improved aircraft components / structures / repairs on Program assigned aircraft fleets IAW PWS,Army, USAF, USN, FAA, industry standards, and company policies.
- Analyzes technology, resource needs, and maintenance demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.* Plans and directs the installation, testing, operation and maintenance of aircraft components and equipment.
- Authors & reviews updates and corrections to technical orders (AFTO Form 22)* Create or work with CAD (Solidworks, CATIA) to create tooling as required to facilitate maintenance* Develop technical documentation including presentations, reports, drawings, and other engineering data* Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
- Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policiesrelating to airfield operations
Additional Requirements :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably Structural, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.* Experience : Five years of liaison or repair engineering experience of aircraft structures.
- Specific knowledge of aircraft structural configuration, structural load path, design of repairs, standard repairs, repairmethods, repair materials, sheet metal, machinings and composites.
- Comprehensive understanding of maintenance and quality control procedures in an USAF aviation environment.* Line maintenance and intermediate maintenance experience preferred.
- Familiarity with USAF Engineering, IETMs, AFTO Form 22, and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program and technology* Must always interact with the customer and M1 employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English.* Must be able to work days, nights or weekends, as required.* Must have a working knowledge of computers and basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook,SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Must obtain / maintain a secret security clearance; previous or active Top Secret desired.
- Must be a US citizen with current valid US Driver's license and able to drive long distances.* Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within a close proximity of runningequipment and aircraft.
